Newborn & Family Photographer in Queensbury, Bradford

Welcome to Brewery Lane Photography — a relaxed Queensbury studio creating memorable portraits for families, small businesses and everyone in between.

Brewery Lane Photography began with newborn photography and has grown into a full-service space offering baby milestones, family portraits, branding sessions and storytelling shoots for local makers and small businesses.

I also provide professional headshots for actors, creatives and corporate clients who want images with personality and polish — not just a standard passport-style photo.

The home studio is calm and welcoming, ideal for little ones and adults alike. Whether you want keepsakes of your toddler’s grin, authentic branding content or a beautifully styled family session, you’re in good hands.

Newborn Photography Parent Prep Guide

Some info to help be prepared. Pre-booking can be done around 15-20 weeks along. Pre-booking secures your place on my monthly 'baby list'. Then once baby arrives all we need to do is secure an exact time and date for your session. I have a beautiful collection of baskets, props, headbands, blankets, wraps, teddies to make your gallery beautiful and diverse. Newborn photos are normally done around 8 to 20 days old for a sleepy session. For an awake smiling newborn session, I recommend waiting to 10 weeks and older. Newborn sessions are held on weekdays, for weekends please contact me directly. What to bring: A dummy - this can be very helpful during the session (even if you have not used one before, It can really be helpful - although it is up to you!) Nappy bag (extra nappies & wipes) Water & snacks (session can be 2-3 hours long) Baby Blanket, spit rags  Non-messy snacks for kids - Please NO prams or shoes in the studio - Feeding Baby: Please bring whatever you need to feed bub. Babies work up quite an appetite being constantly moved around in the warm studio! It is best to feed your baby just before the session and top-up in the studio.  This will help your baby to settle and get them ready to be nice and sleepy. I have a kettle and microwave you are welcome to use if you need it - Just ask :) Babies 4 weeks and under (SLEEPY BABY PHOTOS): If you are travelling for over an hour, please do not stress about letting them sleep in the car. It is totally okay!Try to interact with and keep your baby awake for at least 2 hours before your session. A nice warm bath and awake 'talking' time helps. This will help to ensure those squishy, sleepy newborn pictures! I cannot stress enough that it is so important to not really have a huge (2-3 hour) sleep before trying to get sleepy baby photos.  Babies 8 weeks + (AWAKE AND SLEEPY PHOTOS): A little nap before coming in for the session is great! Lots of food and a normal routine. They love to be awake at the start and sleep towards the end of the session. For older babies, it is really 'go with the flow!' So please do not stress! If you have any questions at all or need some advice, please feel free to contact me!  What baby should wear: Please dress baby in loose-fitting clothes with no singlet. This is to avoid any extra harsh lines on your baby's skin and helps to avoid disturbing your baby when getting undressed. Once you arrive at the studio, bubba will only wear a nappy and spend most of the time wrapped or unclothed. No need to bring anything extra :) What you should wear: (If you have booked the family package) Please avoid wearing logos, pinstripes and polka dots. As cute as these are, they do not photograph well. Plain white or neutral clothing is perfect for my studio style. You can change at the studio or bring in any options :) I do suggest more relaxed clothing over anything too formal. Please be sure that your nails are manicured (nothing fancy - Just clean for photos) as your hands will make their way into the photos. The studio will be kept at approximately 24 degrees. This will help to keep your little one warm while being photographed. All family photos are taken at the end of the session (unless you have siblings 4yr and younger - then it will be at the start). *Due to the nature of the session, we ask that your spouse/partner/friend take the older siblings out for something fun to do while we finish up with the individual newborn shots. This will help to make sure we get the absolute best results possible.
